Yesan Electronic Technical High School (Principal Byun Yeong-woo) in Chungnam Province signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement (MOU) with Ara Co., Ltd. on June 3 as part of its vocational high school employment linkage activities.
The industry-academia integrated apprenticeship school is a system that applies the apprenticeship education developed in Germany and Switzerland to our reality. It is designed as an educational curriculum where teachers at schools provide theoretical education and basic training, and companies designate skilled technicians as on-site instructors to foster on-site job skills in the relevant field.
With this agreement, Ara Co., Ltd. will hire students from Yesan Electronic Technical High School, a key school in the electrical and electronic fields in Chungcheongnam-do, in connection with military service exemption, and will hire excellent talent through a program that combines work and study, while also providing students with the opportunity to advance to university, providing three benefits in one.
CEO Kim Jin-bae said, "Our company's goal is to foster young technicians and technicians through customized technical education and training for companies starting from the high school level and grow them into key personnel for companies. We will strive to become a company where students can pursue their dreams by providing systematic training."
Principal Byun Young-woo of Yesan Electronic Technical High School said, "I hope that students will take the spirit of craftsmanship of companies as their role models and grow into true technicians." He added, "The school will actively support companies and schools by selecting and guiding excellent students and strengthening the character education that companies want."
Meanwhile, Yesan Electronic Technical High School has been operating an "industry-academia integrated apprenticeship school" that fosters technical masters in the electrical and electronic fields since 2017 with the support of the Ministry of Employment and Labor by signing agreements with about 30 companies, and also operates a military specialized unit that fosters specialized non-commissioned officers in the field of Army information and communication equipment operation with the support of the Ministry of National Defense.
